I’ve recently achieved one of my long-standing goals – to build a mini digital recording studio. I think it’s every geek/musician’s dream to be in a band where every member is himself, so that being said, I present to you my first recording … “The Self Indulgent Blues Jam.” (Ironically, I’m playing everything except the drum loop…I’m also heavily ripping off Jimmy Smith and John Scofield licks, but shhhhhhh!)

  1. It’s true gang, this is one hell of a song. And it’s eighteen minutes long, so if you have something that takes eighteen minutes…you know…you could go do that thing and that song would STILL be rocking you.

  2. I’m disappointed. Was anyone else expecting a Bobby McFerrin-esque melange of bizarre vocal sounds?

  • What if I used Time Machine to restore my entire 116 GB music collection while sky diving? Would that make me the greatest person ever?
  • You need some color on the walls, could be done/ curves or swirls, painted on the wall or fabric draped. Big vases/tall plants, reeds, dryed leaves, feathers, bamboo canes. Tapestry, mural, drift wood Something with a vertical line and some interest. You have a good start, keeep going.
  • I could only get through nearly half of this. I laughed to myself, as it reminded me of the south park episode where the kid is auditioning to play with Kyle, doing all the fingering on the neck of the guitar, all you hear is little clicking noises and they're like "I LOVE THAT SONG!" I would think that it'd get boring after a while, but maybe not!
