John Mayer saves drunk idiot in Boston:
Proof positive why I should start carrying my Flip video camera around more often. I have no idea who this guy is, but Susan Boyle should be trembling in her big fat shoes. Brief cameo and camerawork by the one and only Todd Suchotliff. He’s my savior. He’s your savior.
I saw this graphic of Rush Limbaugh on the Fox News website and it got me thinking…
I’ve recently been getting a lot of comments about this gem I made ages ago. And I’ve got to say, it holds up pretty good.
I had a wonderful and totally not-terrifying experience at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday.
Testing out Vimeo’s HD content. Didn’t have any HD content to upload, so I made my own. Enjoy watching me open up 78 websites in Safari, then play around in Exposé. Now that’s what I call good TV.
Here’s a political ad I made. Enjoy!
The fact that I can hit 95% accuracy while playing Blitzkrieg Bop on expert level in Rock Band is something to be proud of. But the fact that I posted a video of myself doing it to my blog is something to be horribly horribly ashamed of.
I came across this video, and thought it needed a little more sound design at the end. So I made this video:
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Ants are effing amazing. I recently videotaped some of those little fuckers negotiating a giant piece of a wafer cookie through a vertical opening I made in a wall outside my hotel room in Mexico with my checkbook propped up with a piece of plastic deck furniture. You wish your life was as exciting as mine.
Not sure if too many of you know this, but a crane collapsed in New York City on Saturday. It’s an enormous tragedy and nothing could possibly justify making any jokes from the situation. However, with a steadfast desire to figure out exactly what happened, I mocked up some possible scenarios using a computer physics simulation software called “Phun.” Hopefully it can be of help to the investigators. Videos are below.
Crane failure due to improper bracing onto building:
Crane failure due to improper securing of load:

As if all the sound effects of the Mac OSX interface weren’t annoying enough, I decided to take things a step too far. Enjoy!
UPDATE: Due to popular demand, I’m posting the GarageBand file I created that’s responsible for this madness. Feel free to have your way with it. Download the zip here. Also, here’s an m4a audio file for those brave souls who want to risk this song suddenly coming on during a Party Shuffle.
Here’s another time-lapse video of Brooklyn from the webcam. It shows 24 hours - from 4AM to 4AM. Enjoy!
If you’ve ever wondered what 48 hours of apple rot looks like in ten seconds, look no further.
And for more fun, check out the interactive version after the jump…
Check out the webcam - I’m making a time-lapse movie of an apple that’s going mental. I’ll post the video once the rot tapers off. Now there’s a sentence you don’t hear too often…
EDIT - 11/20/07: The video is complete and the webcam has been re-appropriated for other duties. View the results of the apple experiment here.
Here’s a time-lapse video from the webcam today. One second from the video equals 15 minutes of real time.
With all the negative reactions this site has been garnering lately (I’m talking to YOU, Russians), I thought I’d make a compilation video of people from around the world enjoying The Cleverest. Get ready for what turned out to be The Cleverest’s first commercial. Enjoy!
If you really want to make someone’s birthday extra special, send them this video.
Freak Out Tape
Watch me bicker with my roommate Mike about web design. This is the video I DON’T want you to SEE!
I took quite a few photos the other night while figuring out how to use my new camera. So what does one do with all those seemingly useless snapshots? Why, make an Aphex Twin Video of course! This probably requires a new version of Quicktime so be warned.
