For the last 6 years or so, every time I’ve added the standard slew of social media buttons to a website I’ve needed to manually adjust their vertical position to get them to line up. This is a sight I’m sure all web designers are familiar with:
So today when I noticed the alignment was off again and started editing the CSS, I was delighted to see that I could just remove the vertical position hacks altogether. So it looks like it’s taken Twitter and Facebook 6 years to agree on a consistent vertical position.
In any case it’s nice to have one less thing to worry about while maintaining a website.
